"This is a picture of me on the left, Cyril Blackshaw, biking since 1965, and brother Tom on the right, biking since 1963. Mine is the blue Kawasaki 750 in the background and he's on the Yamaha 600. We are standing outside the 'Aidensfield Arms' in Heartbeat country, where we have camped in Greengrass's field. The last time we went on an overnight camp with bikes was in 1968, so when we got the chance to relive the experience, we went to somewhere that was still like 1968. Brilliant weekend, and we shall be repeating it in September this year. After showing the photos around, we have had offers from more people to join us."

There's nowt like a good wholesome breakfast in a morning. A long way from the old Primus parafin stoves is the compact gas cooker. Slip the ngas cylinder in and it lights on the button!

If any proper bikers (and that doesn't mean speed freaks) fancy a weekend like this, they can get in touch with me on (01909) 480563, ask for Cyril. Riding rules: Ride at the permitted speed limits. No road racing. No trick riding or wheelies. This will also allow riders on smaller engined bikes to come along and not get left behind, like you do on some ride-outs from local pubs. A back marker ensures that no-one gets lost, or breaks down and gets left.
